How to configure elasticsearch for low memory usage?
I have a Elasticsearch with little data, imagine a few dozen of indices, but at total there is just something about 5MB of data. How can I configure it so it uses the least amount of memory possible? In old versions of Elasticsearch (1.x) I could configure the heap to be reasonable low. But with version 5.1, I eventually get OutOfMemoryError when configuring heap to 300MB, and it works configuring it to 400MB. I would like to configure it to a much lower heap, for example, 50MB, since there is not much data on it. The lower the better. Are there any tweaks that can be done so it can run with lower memory without crashing, even if it performs slower?
