Publish wizard Updates files that haven't been changed
I have an ASP.NET WebForms project (*.aspx, *.ascx files) which uses ASP.NET Precompilation so that every .aspx, .ascx, .ashx and .master file is just a text file with the contents: This is a marker file generated by the precompilation tool, and should not be deleted! However when I run the Visual Studio Publish/Deploy wizard the Preview pane tells me it will Update all of the .aspx, .ascx, .ashx and .master files even though their content is identical. ...I thought the Deployment process was meant to save bandwidth by not overwriting files that haven't changed. The site is hosted in Azure Websites, so I'm expecting the Publish/Deploy wizard to work as-expected.
