Route rsyslog to Openshift pod
Hell, I need help on hook up the router access logs to the rsyslog pod, in a Openshift environment. For now, all I have is a simple pod running a PHP web app.
To my knowledge, OpenShift doesn't ship with an rsyslog pod, but the router does support hooking up to a remote syslog server. I had similar requirements, so I created an rsyslog pod and service which can log to stdout and is useful for getting the access logs and debugging the haproxy router. I was using it locally, but since it might be useful to others I pushed the code to here https://github.com/PhilipGough/rsyslog-container I have included an OpenShift template and the instructions are in the readme. You will need to add some env vars to the OpenShift routers deployment config and point it at the service created by the template.
